Do you sell both new and used shipping containers?

Yes. Maple Containers offers both new (one-trip) and used shipping containers. New units are typically in like-new condition, while used units are inspected and graded so you know exactly what you’re getting.

What sizes do you offer?

Most customers choose:

  • 20 ft Standard

  • 40 ft Standard

  • 40 ft High Cube (extra height)

If you need something specialty (reefer/refrigerated, open-top, etc.), contact us and we’ll confirm availability.

What’s the difference between “Standard” and “High Cube”?

A High Cube container is taller than a standard container, giving you extra vertical space—useful for storing tall equipment, building conversions, or maximizing storage volume.

Are your containers wind and water tight?

Yes. We supply containers that are wind and water tight (WWT) unless clearly stated otherwise. Units are inspected to ensure doors seal properly and the structure is secure for storage and transport.

Can I choose the condition/grade of a used container?

Yes. Used containers are typically offered in different conditions (grades). We’ll explain the options and recommend the best match for your budget and use case (storage, job site, conversion, shipping, etc.).

Will I receive photos before delivery?

Absolutely. We can provide detailed photos  so you can review the container’s condition before it ships.

Can I use a container for shipping internationally?

Yes—if your use case is export or international shipping, tell us upfront. We can recommend the right container type/condition for shipping compliance and durability.

Are your containers suitable for long-term storage in Canadian weather?

Yes. Shipping containers are built for harsh conditions. For long-term storage, we recommend proper placement, ventilation options, and—if needed—modifications like insulation for temperature control.

Do you offer container modifications?

Yes. We can support popular modifications such as:

  • Roll-up or personnel doors

  • Lock boxes

  • Ventilation

  • Shelving

  • Insulation and interior finishing (project-dependent)

Share your plan and we’ll guide you through options, pricing, and timelines.

How do I get a quote?

You can request a quote in minutes:

  • Choose a container size and condition

  • Share your delivery location/postal code

  • Tell us the intended use (storage, shipping, conversion)

Then we’ll send pricing, delivery options, and availability.

What information should I include to get the fastest quote?

For the fastest turnaround, include:

  • Postal code / delivery address

  • Preferred size (20ft / 40ft / high cube)

  • New or used

  • Timeline / target delivery date

  • Site details (access, surface type, obstacles)

  • Any modifications needed

Can I inspect the container in person before buying?

In many cases, yes—depending on container location and yard access. Contact our team and we’ll arrange an inspection or alternative proof (photos/video) when an in-person visit isn’t possible.

Do you deliver anywhere in Canada?

Yes. We coordinate nationwide delivery across Canada, including major cities and many remote areas. Delivery availability and cost depend on your postal code and site access.

How much does delivery cost?

Delivery pricing depends on:

  • Distance from the nearest depot

  • Container size

  • Site access and drop conditions

  • Required equipment (tilt-bed, hiab/crane, etc.)

Request a quote and we’ll provide a clear delivery estimate.

How long does delivery take?

Timelines depend on inventory and your location. Many orders are delivered quickly once the container and route are confirmed. If you have a deadline, tell us—our team will suggest the fastest option.

What do I need on-site for delivery?

Typically you’ll need:

  • Clear access for the delivery truck

  • Enough space to offload and place the container

  • A level surface (recommended for proper door operation)

We’ll confirm exact requirements based on your delivery method.

Can you place the container exactly where I want it?

We’ll do our best, but placement depends on the truck’s ability to maneuver and the site layout. If you require precision placement in tight spaces, tell us in advance so we can recommend the right delivery method.

Do I need permits to place a container on my property?

Permit requirements vary by province, city, and zoning rules. We recommend checking with your local municipality or property manager before delivery, especially for residential areas or long-term placement.

What flooring do containers come with?

Most shipping containers come with durable wood flooring. Condition varies more in used containers, so we inspect and confirm flooring quality as part of the grading process.

Are containers secure? Can I add extra locking features?

Containers are naturally secure and can be upgraded. We can supply or recommend lock boxes and heavy-duty locking solutions for added protection—ideal for job sites and valuable equipment.

Can I cancel or change my order after purchase?

Changes may be possible depending on delivery scheduling and dispatch status. Contact us as soon as possible and we’ll do our best to accommodate updates.

Do you offer refunds?

Refund eligibility depends on order status and any services already completed (delivery booking, modifications, etc.). We aim to be fair and transparent—reach out and we’ll review your case quickly.
